Post-It 30th anniversary billboard unveiling

From the Wall Street Journal:

“…3M Co., which is behind Post-it Notes, asked the actress Angela Kinsey to come to New York to unveil the world’s largest billboard made with Post-it Notes at Grand Central Terminal on Tuesday. By world’s largest, we mean 40 feet by 44 feet, 3,700 pounds and made of more than 100,000 Post-it Super Sticky Notes applied over the course of 320-plus hours. (Apparently someone did a lot of time-clocking.)

“Angela Kinsey is on ‘The Office.’ She’s a working mom and working moms are big users of Post-it Notes. They’re busy people and have to keep a lot of things organized,” said Lynne Looney, vice president of the 3M Consumer and Office Business.

Ms. Kinsey, who lives in Los Angeles, has been doing a lot of charity work related to office supplies lately. Recently, she and her “Office” cast mate Ellie Kemper went to a nearby Staples to donate school supplies for

“They just sort of coincided,” Ms. Kinsey said. “It’s the first time I’ve had two office-supply things at once. But they’re both about making sure kids are taken care of in school.”

“I’m also the Clairol Nice ‘n Easy girl, so I do get my glamorous moments too, mister,” Ms. Kinsey said. “I have no idea what the ‘Desperate Housewives’ get offered. I don’t want to say yes to everything, but I actually use Clairol and have touched up my roots. And I have a little message center with Post-its and pens. I also recycle paper. I use both sides of a note pad.””

Angela visits Canada

Actress Angela Kinsey, famous for her role as a drab accountant on The Office,  made her first visit to Canada today to promote her role as Nice ’n Easy’s Guardian Girlfriend.  The TV campaign that features Kinsey as every woman’s best friend has become a surprise hit with viewers who have taken to her quirky humour and honesty.

“I just did an event in Grand Central Station in New York City where I jumped out from a seven foot mirror,” laughs Kinsey wearing a form fitting green dress and beautiful blonde hair thanks to the P&G Beauty brand. “I’d jump out and say ‘Hi, gal pal.  Is your hair feeling a little flat today?’ I was stunned at how honest the women I saw on their way to work.  The majority said ‘yes, I do need to do something with my hair.  They were really open to a change of hair colour.”

Calling herself part shrink, part gynacologist, part bartender, Kinsey says she’s a diehard Clairol Nice’nEasy fan having watched her mother use the product for years.  ”I grew up in Jakarta and we’d make one trip to the United States each year.  My mother would bring an extra suitcase and stock up on a year’s worth of hair colour.  When she started dying my older sisters’ hair, she needed an even bigger bag.” Angela says the appeal of the product is the time it saves her.  As a working mother, she doesn’t want to give up three hours to visit a salon when she could be spending it with her daughter.

“My life is Cheerios on the floor and dried playdough balls,” she admits.  ”I do my makeup in the car – but only at red lights.  My life is just like everyone else’s, and when I can find a way to save time, I’ll take it.”

Dwight & Angela Are ‘Geeky Militant Soul Mates’

“Angela Kinsey gets lots of laughs as Angela Martin, the uptight accountant with a chip on her shoulder in The Office. But she insists she’s nothing like her.

Now, Kinsey is stepping up to the big screen in the raucous comedy Furry Vengeance.’s Jeanne Wolf found out that Kinsey met a few Angelas from her own days at the office. Plus, why she thinks she and Dwight, played by Rainn Wilson, might still end up together.”

Angela engages in ‘Office’ banter

“She’s uptight. She’s argumentative. She was involved in one of the most bizarre love triangles in recent television history. She’s Angela Martin, the judgmental accountant from “The Office.”

In real life, though, she’s Angela Kinsey, an actress who says she has very little in common with her character.

“I would say I do love organizing ridiculous things,” Martin said recently by telephone from the hair and makeup trailer on the set of “The Office” in Los Angeles. “My house could be a mess, but I feel the need to organize my wrapping paper. So maybe we have that in common, but for the most part not much else.”

Prima donnas dish “The Office” dirt

“Jim and Pam, one of the most beloved couples on television, just had their baby girl on “The Office.” But don’t think that the show will change because of it.

Angela Kinsey, who plays uptight stickler accountant Angela Martin on the show, said in a conference call, “I think what’s the great thing about our show is that they find ways to make our characters grow without really changing a character’s arc … [With] Jim [John Krasinski] and Pam [Jenna Fischer] having a baby you’re going to see new aspects of them but it’s not going to change the dynamic of our office, and what’s funny within [it].”

Ellie Kemper, who joined the show just under a year ago as the nice and naïve receptionist Erin Hannon, said that becoming a part of this tight-knit cast was initially odd. “It is strange to have watched a show on your futon for five years, and then to be on it is completely surreal,” she explained. She also said that her welcoming couldn’t have been warmer, jokes about hazing aside.”

Love is in air at ‘The Office’: who’s hooking up next?

“Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim (John Krasinski) got their happy ending on ‘The Office’ (marriage and babies, baby!), so what’s the holdup on some smoochin’ between the beet farmer and his ladylove? We’re still rooting for Dwight (Rainn Wilson) and Angela (Angela Kinsey) to reunite. Will it happen?

The Future of Dwight & Angela’s Love Life:

So are we ever going to see Dwight and Angela together again? (After all, they were legally married by a German-speaking Mennonite minister in a horse barn.)

“Hello, sister! I wanna know, too!” Angela Kinsey told us at the NBC Golden Globes party. And she’s not the only one. “Rainn [Wilson] came up to me, day one of filming and said, ‘When are we gonna get it on again?’ I said, ‘I dunno, Rainn, but let’s make it happen!’ So Rainn and I really believe that Dwight and Angela are the soul mates.”

Thankfully, Angela also assured us that the lovelorn twosome are totally not a lost cause. “I hear rumblings that they’re gonna find their way back, but it might take a little while,” said Angela. “I’m all along for the ride. I wanna find Dwight, that tall geeky man. I want it. I want it!””

Angela gets ready for the Golden Globes

This Sunday for the Golden Globes, Angela stayed low-key by getting ready at her own home. She even colored her hair at home with the help of a friend!

“I colored my hair with Nice ‘n Easy [in] Natural Medium Neutral Blonde. Because the Golden Globes are a big fancy party, I actually had a friend help me.”

Below are five easy tips so you too can get red-carpet ready in just a pinch!

  1. Pick a light-colored nail polish for your manicure—not only does it dry faster, but if it chips before the big night, it’s less noticeable.   Try and do your nails the day before so wet nails won’t be an issue on event night.
  2. Skip the false lashes and try a great lengthening mascara like CoverGirl LashBlast Length.
  3. Choose a long lasting lip color—only one application and it lasts the whole night, all you need is a glossy touch up!
  4. Make sure your roots are kept at bay – for busy gals like myself, try coloring your hair at-home with Nice ‘n Easy the week of the event to brighten your look and ensure shiny color.
  5. EAT!  On event day, choose something light but filling so you’ll still feel like your fabulous self when you get into your evening attire.

‘The Office’ Star Angela Kinsey: Brad Pitt Can Save NBC!

Do you think a mega-star like Brad can make all the network’s problems magically disappear?

“With all the late-night drama between Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien —in addition to the fact the network hasn’t had a massive hit like Friends in years — NBC is going through a rough time. What can revive the network to its former awesome superstar status? The Office star Angela Kinsey has an idea: bring on Brad Pitt!

The star who’s show was nominated for a Golden Globe says NBC prez Jeff Zucker should hire one of the sexiest men alive, Mr. Angelina Jolie, to give the network the boost it so desperately needs.

“Brad Pitt as our UPS man,” the 38-year-old told EXCLUSIVELY at the NBC Golden Globes after-party. “Angela and Brad would have an amazing connection from across the partition I stand behind. He would see just the top of my head and know we were meant to be … Something like that.”

Angela, you are a genius. Excuse us now, while we go fantasize about Brad in one of those brown UPS jumpers … We do love a man in uniform!”

Angela Kinsey Jokes About Her ‘High Class Problems’

“Despite logging long hours as an actress alongside her costars, Angela Kinsey could never truly relate to the parents on set who felt torn by the demands of children and a career. That is, of course, until she became a mother herself to Isabel Ruby, 19 months.

“I remember a friend of mine was a working parent and we were filming something together,” Angela recalls in the winter issue of Mom. “She was really quiet and I said, ‘What’s the matter?’ She said, ‘I’m missing bath time.’ I didn’t have children yet, but I get it now.”

The separation from Isabel is most painful when Angela finds herself alone during her downtime on the set of her hit show The Office. “I never knew I could love anything the way I love Isabel,” she admits. “And when I’m not with her, I ache for her.” It is then, she notes, that the feelings of loneliness set in. “I was literally sitting there amongst her things holding her Elmo doll and had a little cry,” she says. “I tear up just thinking about it.””

Angela sounds like a great mom! Love reading about her stories with Isabel. You can read the full article here: Angela Kinsey Jokes About Her ‘High Class Problems’

Angela’s Counting Cutie

“Life with a toddler is full of surprises and Angela Kinsey is determined to enjoy each moment to the fullest. “Every day is something new,” she tells Us Weekly of her 19-month-old daughter Isabel Ruby.

Baby girl’s latest milestone? Counting, reports the proud mama. “‘One, two, three, four.’ She doesn’t just pick up her little dolls, she says, ‘One,’ and then she’ll say ‘More. Two dolls,’” she explains, adding that watching Isabel reach each marker has been “just wonderful.”

Showing an early interest in math may prove beneficial! The Office star jokes that offering her daughter homework help in the math department in the future is simply out of the question. “Oh, no! She’ll be on her own. Mommy won’t be able to help her there.””
