‘The Hotwives of Las Vegas’ cast reveals favorite ‘Real Housewives’ role models

The stars of the satirical Hulu series “The Hotwives of Las Vegas” have revealed the “Real Housewives” on which they based their portrayals.

And one is a shocker – that, gasp, one of the “Hotwives” stars doesn’t watch any “Real Housewives” shows.

Can you imagine?

“Hotwives” launches its second season Aug. 18 on Hulu, which will release a new episode every week.

As part of the drumroll, each actress told TV writers which of Bravo’s many “real housewives” she is aiming to capture.

Casey Wilson (Tawny): “I was kind of a mix this season, Kim Zolciak (‘Atlanta’), maybe some Kenya Moore thrown in with a dash of Phaedra (‘Atlanta’) and Tamra Barney (‘OC’).”

Dannah Feinglass Phirman (Leona): “She’s based on Caroline Manzo from ‘New Jersey.’ Yeah, that’s pretty much what I was going for.”

Danielle Schneider (Shauna): “I kind of had a conglomerate of people. I was going for Shannon from ‘OC,’ who is just a little bird trying to keep up. And then there’s Taylor from ‘Beverly Hills.’ A lot of damaged, damaged ladies.”

Tymberlee Hill: (Phe Phe): “Mine was a mix, too. There was NeNe Leakes (‘Atlanta’) and I threw some Phaedra in there. I also had a big dose of Wendy Williams, who is not a housewife, but is an honorary housewife for all of the traffic she has brought through her show.”

Angela Savage (Veronica): “Yolanda Foster (‘Beverly Hills’) is the launching-off point for my character.”

Erinn Hayes (Callie, new this season, replacing Kristen Schaal’s Amanda): “My character is based on Carlton, from ‘Beverly Hills,’ who is a Wiccan.”

Angela Kinsey: (Crystal): Okay, I don’t watch ‘The Real Housewives.’ So I just tried to be someone who was really important about nothing.”
