From the Wall Street Journal:
“…3M Co., which is behind Post-it Notes, asked the actress Angela Kinsey to come to New York to unveil the world’s largest billboard made with Post-it Notes at Grand Central Terminal on Tuesday. By world’s largest, we mean 40 feet by 44 feet, 3,700 pounds and made of more than 100,000 Post-it Super Sticky Notes applied over the course of 320-plus hours. (Apparently someone did a lot of time-clocking.)
“Angela Kinsey is on ‘The Office.’ She’s a working mom and working moms are big users of Post-it Notes. They’re busy people and have to keep a lot of things organized,” said Lynne Looney, vice president of the 3M Consumer and Office Business.
Ms. Kinsey, who lives in Los Angeles, has been doing a lot of charity work related to office supplies lately. Recently, she and her “Office” cast mate Ellie Kemper went to a nearby Staples to donate school supplies for DoSomething.org.
“They just sort of coincided,” Ms. Kinsey said. “It’s the first time I’ve had two office-supply things at once. But they’re both about making sure kids are taken care of in school.”
“I’m also the Clairol Nice ‘n Easy girl, so I do get my glamorous moments too, mister,” Ms. Kinsey said. “I have no idea what the ‘Desperate Housewives’ get offered. I don’t want to say yes to everything, but I actually use Clairol and have touched up my roots. And I have a little message center with Post-its and pens. I also recycle paper. I use both sides of a note pad.””
